FIELD: medicine, analytical chemistry and medical diagnostics.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to determine potential diagnostic marker compounds in clinical trials. The samples of biological material obtained or isolated from the patient are taken. A uniform distribution of samples of each clinical group between different analyzed batches are carried out. Chromato-mass spectrometric analysis of the received batches is performed. The received data is preprocessed and at least one compound is identified from the received data. A set of compounds, potential markers using a trained classification model are obtained. Based on the Akaike information criterion, compounds, potential markers are selected from the set selected at the previous stage. Compounds are stepwise removed from the generated set of compounds, potential markers, in which the value of the probability of the coefficient differing from zero is less than the value of the probability limit of the coefficient differing from zero.

EFFECT: method improves the accuracy of determining diagnostic markers in clinical trials by using the Akaike information criterion.
