FIELD: nuclear industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the manufacture of fuel pellets from triuranium disilicide powders enriched by uranium-235 to 7% for fuel elements (fuel elements) of nuclear reactors. The method for manufacturing fuel pellets from triuranium disilicide powder consists in preparing a press powder (enrichment in uranium-235 up to 7%), pressing the pellets in a matrix. After pressing the tablets in the matrix, the tablets are loaded into the furnace and the furnace is evacuated twice. The tablets are sintered in an inert argon atmosphere or in a vacuum. Then wet grinding, drying and rejection of the tablets is carried out. When preparing the press powder as a binder, 0.1-0.2 wt.% distearylethylenediamine (DISED) or zinc stearate is used. It is allowed to prepare a press powder without the use of a binder.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase the uranium content and thermal conductivity of the fuel by increasing the density of the fuel.
