SUBSTANCE: used to reduce the vertical intrasoil migration of lead and cadmium and increase the environmental stability of soils. A simulated soil structure is formed from a 25 cm thick AU humus horizon of uncontaminated soil overlying and a 25 cm thick sorption horizon directly below it, made by mixing Callovian clay, crushed to a fraction of not more than 1 mm, with river quartz sand in a ratio of 1:1.
EFFECT: method ensures the fixation of heavy metals in contaminated soils and soil-like bodies, limit their intra-profile vertical migration and prevent their further entry into groundwater and adjacent landscapes, and also allows to significantly limit the intra-profile migration of lead and cadmium.
