FIELD: ecology.
SUBSTANCE: invention is aimed at creation of simple and effective method for evaluation of sorption materials efficiency for soil contaminated with heavy metals. Method of assessing the efficiency of heavy metal sorbents in soils consists in the fact that in conditions of model soil contamination with heavy metals Pb, Zn, Cd in dose of 5 maximum permissible concentrations in several plastic cuvettes, at least 2-3 replicas per one version of the experiment, 500 g of one type of soil with undisturbed aggregate composition are placed, soil contaminant Pb, Zn, Cd in nitrate form and sorption material are introduced into the analyzed concentrations, the sample in the cuvette is moistened to moisture content equal to 30 %, and mixed, after that, on 10th and 60th day of the experiment exposition, the soil electrical conductivity is measured, and during 60 days artificial irrigation is performed, which corresponds to the average rainfall norm.
EFFECT: invention enables fast and qualitative selection of sorption materials for landscapes with high variability of soil cover and multiple-valued fluctuations of their anthropogenic variability.
