FIELD: cleaning of roads and streets.

SUBSTANCE: invention is related in particular to equipment for preparing snow and ice mass removed from roads for further processing it into water with separation of solid impurities. The device for crushing and separating the snow and ice mass contains a hopper installed above the melting chamber with horizontal drive shafts, on which disks and hammers are evenly mounted, placed between the disks. The disks are made in form of ellipses with a minor axis a, located perpendicular to the shaft axis, and a major axis b, inclined to the shaft axis at an angle of 70-75°, while the ratio of disk sizes is b=a/cos(90°-α).

EFFECT: invention provides increased efficiency of processing due to additional compaction and crushing of the processed snow-ice mass, as well as increased reliability of the device.
