FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for restoring the acoustic lens of an ultrasonic sensor, which includes dismantling the old acoustic lens without damaging the matching layer and piezocrystal matrix. The method includes cleaning the cavities between the ultrasonic sensor housing and the piezoelectric crystals from sealant residues and degreasing the prepared surface. The method includes pouring a new acoustic lens, vulcanization and giving the new acoustic lens a rounded shape without roughness by mechanical means. The method uses a process material that transmits ultrasound, and after pouring the process material onto the ultrasonic sensor, the new acoustic lens is given a shape similar to the original one.
EFFECT: creating a reliable method for restoring any type of acoustic lens of an ultrasonic sensor.
