SUBSTANCE: grate block (10) comprises block housing (12) having upper wall (14) and defining longitudinal axis L, upper wall (14) forming support surface (16) along which the combustible product is to be transported and the front end of which, at viewed in shear direction S, oriented essentially parallel to longitudinal axis L, forms edge (19) through which support surface (16) descends, passing into shear surface (22) formed by front wall (20). Front wall (20) contains lower support edge (23) located in plane E and running essentially perpendicular to longitudinal axis L, which is designed to contact the support surface of the adjacent, in shear direction S, grate block, and upper wall (14) contains an air supply hole formed by an air supply channel passing through upper wall (14). The air supply hole is at least partially surrounded by thickening (50) extending from support surface (16), which forms protective channel (57) extending the air supply channel and is designed to prevent liquid from flowing into the air supply hole. The protective channel is surrounded by the inner side surface of thickening (50), and thickening (50) has outer side surface (55) adjoining the inner side surface, passing obliquely downwards on the side opposite to the protective channel.
EFFECT: minimized risk of deterioration of air supply through the air supply channels.
