FIELD: pipeline construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for cleaning the outer surface of pipelines from insulating material. The device contains a frame with support wheels, a cleaning tool, and a cutting tool. The frame is made in the form of a link frame, consisting of stiffening ribs, one side of which is seated with a cylindrical hole and the other with a hexagonal hole on the rods and secured with nuts. Rods with a hexagonal seat for stiffening ribs are carriers of support wheels, the axes of which are located at an angle to the longitudinal axis of the device frame, cleaning tools in the form of brushes with the ability to be pressed to the longitudinal axis of symmetry of the frame, and cutting tools consisting of scrapers and cutters installed with the ability to change the clamping force and the angle of rotation relative to the longitudinal axis of the pipeline.
EFFECT: efficient removal of insulating material from the outer surface of pipelines of different diameters during selective repairs in a pit.
