FIELD: target detection.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and device for determining the assessment of the reliability of the determination of the target in the environment of the vehicle. The method comprises a detection step (100) in which a sensor from a plurality of sensors (21, 22) detects a target (3) to be tracked, and in which the computing device (4) initializes a confidence assessment (SC) of said target (3) to be tracked, at a predetermined value, the acquisition step (101), in which one sensor of the plurality of sensors (21, 22), called the active sensor (2), collects data to detect targets (3, 10) in the environment and transmits to the computing device ( 4) detection data corresponding to the detected targets, whereas the lack of data transmission on the target (3) to be tracked corresponds to the information about the non-detection of the target (3) to be tracked, the weighing step (102) in which the computing device (4) assigns the target (3) to be tracked, the weighting factor (CP) depending on the detection or non-detection of the target (3) to be tracked by the active sensor (2), weighted depending on the own characteristics (50) of the active sensor (2) and on the environment (51) vehicle (1), quoting step (103), in which the computing device (4) updates the assessment (SC) of the reliability of the target (3) to be tracked, depending on the previously assigned weight coefficient (CP).
EFFECT: increasing the accuracy of determining the target in the environment of the vehicle.
