FIELD: medicine; traumatology; neurology; neurosurgery and pediatrics.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to diagnose concussion in children. On the 1–3rd day after injury, a study of the level of neuron-specific enolase NSE is carried out. With an NSE of 16.4–19 ng/ml, concussion is diagnosed.
EFFECT: method enables early diagnosis of concussion and selection of optimal treatment tactics by determining the level of NSE, which characterizes the violation of the integrity of the brain substance and the violation of the blood-brain barrier.
