FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine. Method for making an implant for replacement of skull bones with cosmetic defects in the temporal region, including making an implant in the form of a curvilinear plate, preliminary multi-slice computed tomography of the head. Multi-slice computerized tomography data are exported into a three-dimensional model building program and a volumetric model of the patient's skull and a virtual implant are created to close the existing defect of the patient's skull bones. Multi-slice computer tomography data additionally define difference in thickness of healthy and atrophic temporal muscles, then curvature of virtual implant is increased by value of thickness difference of healthy and atrophic temporal muscles, after that implant is produced by DMLS printing from powdered titanium, processed and sterilized produced implant.
EFFECT: invention provides prevention of developing head asymmetry accompanying severe atrophy of temporal muscle within post-trephination defect.
