SUBSTANCE: used for a preliminary assessment, implemented remotely, of the technical condition of high-voltage equipment of open switchgears, without taking the equipment out of operation, in order to make a justified expert opinion on its repair or replacement. A catalog of digital reference ultraviolet images of defects and images of defects in the infrared spectrum of high-voltage equipment with a resolution of at least 640×480 pixels with thermal imaging and ultraviolet cameras is drafted. Depending on the influence of defects in high-voltage equipment on its technical condition and performance, all defects are divided into significant and insignificant. Thermal imaging is carried out from the air of high-voltage equipment using an unmanned aircraft operated in the mode of executing a programmable route and shooting, equipped with a thermal imaging camera. An ultraviolet shooting of high-voltage equipment is performed from the ground using a mobile ground robotic platform operated in the mode of execution of a programmable route and shooting, equipped with an ultraviolet camera. The resulting digital ultraviolet and infrared images are automatically associated and grouped for each unit of the examined high-voltage equipment. The presence of significant and insignificant defects in the equipment is automatically established by comparing digital images in the formed group, obtained using cameras, with digital reference images of defects for each unit of the examined high-voltage equipment. A scheme of defects is formed in automatic mode with highlighting, for example, by color, significant and insignificant defects for each unit of high-voltage equipment.

EFFECT: providing the possibility of a preliminary reliable assessment of high-voltage equipment of open switchgears in order to make a justified expert opinion on its repair or replacement.
