FIELD: welding.

SUBSTANCE: welding machine is designed for welding two longitudinal metal products. The unit comprises a support (1) configured for sliding along the direction of supply (X) of the products. The first structure (2) is attached to the support (1) and comprises the first clamping device (3, 4) for clamping the rear part of the first metal product or the front part of the second product. The second structure (5) is displaceable relative to the first structure (2) and the support (1) parallel to the feed direction and comprises the second clamping device (6, 7). The first part of the support is limited by the first beam (9) and the second beam (8) placed parallel to the feed direction (X). The second part (11) of the support (1) is located on the side outside the first part (10) and is limited by the second beam (8) and the third beam (17) parallel to the feed direction (X), and together with the transverse beams, these beams form the perimeter of the support. The first structure (2) and the second structure (5) rest on the first part (10) of the support (1), and at least one transformer (36) is attached to the support (1) and rests on the second part (11) of the support (1).

EFFECT: unit provides easy access to the internal parts of the clamping structures, quick maintenance and cleaning, as well as the ability to use cranes and overhead cranes to remove heavy parts of the unit.
