FIELD: internal combustion engines.
SUBSTANCE: internal combustion engine for high pressure gas contains a block of gas cylinders (1), pistons (2) and cylinder covers (3). Pistons (2) are installed in the cylinder block (1), which are hermetically sealed by cylinder covers (3), forming a combustion chamber (4) for fuel operation. Gas inlet valves (5) associated with the gas inlet channels and gas outlet valves (6) associated with the gas outlet channels are installed on the covers (3) of the cylinders. The engine additionally comprises a fuel supply system (7) configured to pass the fuel placed in the fuel tank (70) through the fuel channel and supply, after pressurization by the pump unit (71), inside the combustion chamber (4) of the gas cylinder block. The fuel injection device is configured to inject fuel into the combustion chamber (4). The compression ignition system (9) is connected to a gas outlet or to an external gas source. The ignition system is configured to recuperate part of the energy of the exhaust gases released during the working cycle of the combustion chamber (4), or suck gas from an external gas source, and after compressing the gas at high pressure, storing it in the gas-saving reservoir (91) of compression ignition. On the cover (3) of the cylinder there is a valve assembly (92) of compression ignition, connected to a gas-saving tank (91) of compression ignition through a pipeline (10). The valve assembly (92) is configured to inject pre-stored high pressure gas into the combustion chamber (4) and is used to inject fuel into the compression ignition combustion chamber during the power stroke.
EFFECT: reducing fuel consumption and reducing the amount of pollutant emissions.
