FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the engine building. Disclosed is a method for an engine in which a cylinder compression degree is varied by means of controller (12) by selectively discharging gaseous combustion products from an air-fuel mixture ignited in a cylinder through bleed valve (152) on the cylinder head. Exhausted gaseous combustion products are directed through turbine generator (162) connected downstream bleed valve (152). Suitable for use electric power is generated on turbo generator (162) by said direction. Also disclosed is engine system.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of engine performance due to change of compression degree.
