METHOD FOR MULTISLICE COMPUTED TOMOGRAPHY DIAGNOSTICS OF SEVERITY OF INFLAMMATORY CHANGES IN INTESTINAL WALL AND PERICOLIC TISSUE IN COMPLICATED DIVERTICULAR DISEASE OF COLON Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC A61B6/03

Abstract RU 2805498 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: radiation diagnostics, used for diagnosing a complicated course of diverticular disease of the colon. A multislice computed tomography examination of the patient's colon is performed with a slice thickness of 2 mm without a gantry inclination with a voltage of 120 kV, a current of 90 mA. At the same time, Xenetics 350 is administered as a bolus to the patient in a volume of 70-100 ml at a rate of 2.5-3.0 ml/s. On axial, coronary, sagittal projections, the severity of the complicated course of diverticular disease of the colon is assessed, and when visualizing the thickening of the intestinal wall of the colon more than 0.7 cm, the extent of inflammatory changes in the intestinal wall of the colon is more than 9.2 cm, the length of the inflammatory infiltration of pericolic fiber is more than 3.1 cm, diagnose the presence of microperforation of the wall of the diverticulum of the colon. When visualizing abscesses, fistulas and free gas, the presence of macroperforation of the wall of the colon diverticulum is diagnosed.

EFFECT: highly informative diagnosing of the semiotics of inflammatory complications of diverticular disease when compared with the data of intraoperative revision and morphological examination by evaluating the totality of the most significant indicators.
