EFFECT: technical result is a new method of separating racemate (II) which can be used to obtain (4S)-4-(4-cyano-2-methoxyphenyl)-5-ethoxy-2,8-dimethyl-1,4-dihydro-1,6-naphthyridine-3-carboxamide of formula (I) with high yield and purity, which has the effect of a non-steroidal mineralocorticoid receptor antagonist and can be used in medicine as a means for the prevention and/or treatment of cardiovascular and renal diseases.
