FIELD: weaponry.

SUBSTANCE: arrow-shaped artillery armor-piercing projectile contains a central core made of heavy alloy, equipped with a ballistic tip and a bladed tail stabilizer where the tracer is located. The core by means of a number of annular corrugations is geometrically closed with conformal grooves of the carrier body, which is composed of longitudinally butted segments fastened at the segment ends with bandages. An aerodynamic blind funnel is made in the head thickening of the body, equipped with a caliber support. On the bottom thickening of the body in the zone of the center of mass, a leading belt is fixed from an antifriction cast polymer - polyamide. A rubber obturator with an open prechamber is glued to the end of the stern of the bottom thickening. The surface of the body part tapering downwards is covered with a layer of hardening sealant. The gauge support is made in the form of a plastic polymer ring mounted on the head thickening. The leading belt is fixed in the housing groove by means of equally distributed radially directed monolithic rods, the diameter of which is 0.3-0.6 of the belt width, and the minimum distance between their tops is limited by half the diameter of the rods.

EFFECT: higher centering of the projectile in the bore and higher rigidity of fastening of the leading belt in the annular groove of the body, which increases the effective firing range, functional reliability and, as a result, increases the power of the projectile.
