FIELD: learning to drive.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to educational models or simulators for learning to drive vehicles. The subject is presented on the video monitor screen with a visual stimulus in the form of a two-dimensional figure - a polygon and a controlled object in the form of a red ball with a diameter of 20 mm with a marked centre. The movement of the controlled object is controlled by the subject using a two-axis joystick-type manipulator with the handle in the initial central position. The subject combines the centre of the controlled object with the expected centre of gravity of the visual stimulus. At the moment of the intended combination, the subject presses the “Ready” button on the manipulator. After that, the time from the moment when the visual stimulus appears until the “Ready” button is pressed and the aiming error of the sight are measured, equal to the distance between the centres of the visual stimulus and the sight at the moment the “Ready” button is pressed. The test is repeated a specified number of times, and in each test the shape and location of the visual stimulus on the screen is changed. The time for the implementation of motor tracking and the accuracy of determining the centre of gravity of the load are calculated according to the stated formulas.
EFFECT: method provides training for forwarder operators and allows expanding the functionality of known methods by adding a cognitive component in the form of determining the centre of gravity of an object.
