FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical diagnostics, namely to psychophysiology. A visual stimulus in the form of a red circle of 20 mm in diameter is presented on a monitor. The time from mark exposure to bringing a cursor to a circle border is recorded. The procedure is repeated at least 50 times. The measured hand-eye response time values are used to plot a block diagram of the 20-ms grade distribution of the derived values. Mode value MO and mode amplitude AMo values are derived from analysis parameters of the block diagram and individual's response time distribution. That is followed by calculating CNS functional health (FHCNS) by mathematical formula. If FHCNS is more than 24.57, the functional health is considered as optimum; if FHCNS is from 24.56 to 18.53, the functional health is low; FHCNS less than 18.52 shows the substantially low level.

EFFECT: method enables providing the more reliable assessment that is ensured by the visual localisation of the object exposure and measurement of the time of targeted motor response to this object.
