SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to predict the outcome of surgery using the method of paraurethral injection of a volume-forming gel in combination with cystocele plastic surgery using own tissues in postmenopausal women with stress urinary incontinence. According to uroflowmetry data, the value of the maximum urine flow rate is determined. According to ultrasound examination of the pelvic floor, the length of the urethra is determined. Based on molecular genetic typing data, carriage of the GG genotype at locus 1546 of the COL1A1 gene is determined. The obtained values are substituted in the formula for calculating the prognostic index Z. When Z<0, a satisfactory outcome of surgery is predicted.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to predict the effectiveness of the method of paraurethral injection of a volume-forming gel in combination with cystocele plastic surgery with one’s own tissues in postmenopausal women with stress urinary incontinence by calculating the prognostic index.
