FIELD: shipbuilding.
SUBSTANCE: underwater search vehicles used to study water bodies. The underwater search apparatus includes a body made in the form of an ellipsoid of rotation, horizontal thrusters, a video camera and a cable-rope connecting the apparatus to the carrier vessel. The vertical axis of the apparatus body lies in the plane of the midship frame, and the apparatus additionally contains a device for changing the position of the center of gravity located inside the body. Horizontal thrusters are installed in the center plane in the bow and stern of the underwater search vehicle and in the plane of the midship frame on the right and left sides of the underwater search vehicle. Horizontal thrusters are made in the form of channels with working bodies and are installed in a housing with gaps in the form of slits with the possibility of tangential inflow and/or outflow of liquid on the surface of the housing.
EFFECT: increased safety of control of an underwater search vehicle when performing complex maneuvering.
