SUBSTANCE: invention is aimed to reduce the power consumption of the device and increase the efficiency of the use of network resources. It is achieved in that the network connection processing method is applied to the user equipment on the UE side and relates to 5G NR and the field of artificial intelligence communications. The method includes: connecting the UE to both a 4G base station and a 5G base station using dual connection technology; and, when the UE is in a screen-off state and the UE's data rate is less than or equal to a preset rate, releasing the connection between the UE and the 5G base station.
EFFECT: reduced power consumption of the device and increased efficiency of the use of network resources.
