SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless communication. According to the present invention, an access category may be determined from a set of access categories and at least one access identifier may be determined from a set of access identifiers to be used for an access attempt. For an access attempt, a reason for establishing the connection may be determined based on an access category determined from the set of access categories and on the basis of at least one access identifier from the set of access identifiers. For an access attempt, a connection request message may be sent to a wireless network. The connection request message includes a reason for establishing the connection determined based on the access category and based on at least one access identifier.
EFFECT: efficient determination and/or transfer of the values of the reasons for establishing the connection and/or related information.
