FIELD: analytical chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: method for the spectral determination of trace elements in solid wax-containing samples is proposed, which consists in mixing a sample of the analyzed sample with an organic solvent in a volumetric chemical glassware, thoroughly mixing the mixture and its subsequent analysis, according to the invention, a small sample of a solid sample of 0.1 g, taken with accuracy± 0.0001 g, mixed with a solvent, which is used as extra pure toluene, added to a total volume of 10 ml, the mixture is vigorously shaken until a stable suspension is formed, from which a series of 1-15 drops is sequentially applied to the end of the carbon electrode and dried under an IR lamp 10 µl each, then to level the residual matrix effect after dilution of the sample, 10 µl of a sodium chloride spectral buffer solution with a concentration of 15 g/l is applied and also dried, the determination of trace elements in the obtained dry residue is carried out directly from the electrode using arc atomic emission spectrometry with typical parameters of plasma generation and signal recording, quantitative analysis is carried out by the method of absolute calibration using aqueous standard solutions of salts of elements in the concentration range of 0.1 μg/l - 1 g/l according to the detection limits of the method at the level of tenths of μg/l and typical contents known from the literature data analytes in the sample.

EFFECT: possibility of analyzing solid wax-containing samples without their mineralization, the absence of the need to use calibration solutions based on an organic solvent by leveling the effect of the matrix by diluting and using a spectral buffer, as well as reducing the risk of distorting the result due to the introduction of impurities due to the use of available high-purity reagents.
