FIELD: medicine; neurology; gynecology.
SUBSTANCE: used to predict a favorable outcome of chronic impairment of consciousness in women. To do this, determine the content of hormones in the blood serum of prolactin and thyrotropine, taken from the ulnar vein fasted, against the background of oligomenorrhea or secondary amenorrhea. The probability of a favorable outcome is calculated using the following formula:
B1 = ½(1+2.72-(-2.949+1.127×TSH–0.004×prolactin),
where: TSH - thyrotropine level, mIU/l; prolactin - prolactin level, mIU/l. With a value of B1 of 0.7 or less, a favorable outcome is likely - the patient regains a clear consciousness.
EFFECT: expanding the scope of tools for predicting the outcomes of chronic impairment of consciousness in women.
