SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to predict a favorable outcome of chronic impairment of consciousness (CIC) in females. Content of prolactin hormones, FSH and total testosterone is determined in blood serum taken from an ulnar vein on an empty stomach with underlying oligomenorrhea or secondary amenorrhea, taking into account the patient's age. Probability of a favorable outcome of the CIC is calculated by the following formula: B2=1/(1+2.72−(−6.904−0.005×Prolactin+0.449×FSH+2.965×Testosterone+0.139×Age)), where: FSH is the level of follicle-stimulating hormone, IU/l; Prolactin—prolactin level, mIU/l; Testosterone—testosterone level, nmol/l; Age is patient’s age in completed years. If the value of B2 is less than or equal to 0.7, a favorable outcome is probable—a clear consciousness of the patient.
EFFECT: method enables predicting a favorable outcome of CIC by determining the content of hormones prolactin, FSH and total testosterone in the patient's blood and taking into account her age to calculate the probability of a favorable outcome of the CIC according to the declared mathematical formula.
