SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for formation of a stabilizer for the hinge of a total hip joint endoprosthesis of the articular capsule. To do this, the articular capsule is opened longitudinally in the lateral section from the place of its attachment to the ilium to the place of its attachment to the base of the greater trochanter of the femur during access to the hip joint. A posterolateral flap of the hip articular capsule is created. In this case, the posterior part of the capsule of the hip joint is cut off from the place of its attachment to the femur, starting from the lateral angle of the longitudinal section of the capsule to the level of the Adams arch of the femur. After installing the components of the total endoprosthesis and repositioning its head, a duplicate of the lateral part of the hip articular capsule is formed. To do this, the posterolateral flap of the articular capsule is pulled to the inner surface of the anterior part of the capsule and sutured to it with four interrupted sutures.

EFFECT: invention improves stability of the endoprosthesis by reducing the volume of the periprosthetic cavity and creating an effective soft tissue stabilizer for the hinge of the total endoprosthesis.
