SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to determine the risk of severe liver steatosis in patients with metabolic risk factors. A biochemical blood test is performed to determine the activity of alanine aminotransferase, gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase, the concentration of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol and insulin. The fact of taking antihypertensive drugs and/or the presence of arterial hypertension ≥ 130/85 mm Hg is revealed. The abdominal circumference is measured. The results obtained are used to calculate the risk of severe hepatic steatosis (ROST). If the value is less than 0.5, it is concluded that there is a low risk of severe steatosis. With a value from 0.6 to 1.9, it is concluded that there is a moderate risk of steatosis. If the value is 2.0 or higher, it is concluded that there is a high probability of severe steatosis.
EFFECT: method allows for a simple and accurate assessment of the risk of hepatic steatosis by calculating ROST using multiple linear regression analysis.
