SUBSTANCE: used to estimate the ratios of radial and tangential lens distortion and the matrix of internal parameters of the camera. The essence of the invention is as follows. The test object for assessing the coefficients of radial and tangential distortion is a flat base with an applied calibration template in the form of a set of nodal points located at the intersections of uniformly distributed No concentric circles with a constant radial increment Δr and Np radial beams with a constant angular increment Δϕ=360°/Np. At the same time, nodal points are additionally placed in the corners of the template, located at the intersection points of radial rays and Nd circular arcs with a constant radial increment Δr.
EFFECT: provision of projections of nodal points of the calibration range near the corners of the frame of the camera being calibrated.
