FIELD: medicine; neurophysiology; neurosurgery.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used when carrying out intraoperative neuromonitoring during interventions on the structures of the posterior cranial fossa. The first stimulating electrode is installed in the right projection of the motor zone, the second stimulating electrode is installed in the left projection of the motor zone. Then recording electrodes are installed in the right and left velopharyngeal arches and in the right and left halves of the tongue, the grounding electrode is installed on the chin. The head is fixed in a three-point Mayfield carbon fiber clamp, and a double bonded needle electrode is used as a recording electrode.
EFFECT: method ensures obtaining adequate corticobulbar motor evoked potentials and increasing the reproducibility of responses by reducing the likelihood of an artifact and reducing the likelihood of recording the far-field potential.
