SUBSTANCE: means for the prevention and correction of colibacillosis and other gastrointestinal diseases of farm animals and poultry. The bacterial strain E. coli Q5 is deposited in the All-Russian Collection of Microorganisms (VKM) and has the registration symbol VKM V-3706D, as a strain with antagonistic activity against pathogenic and opportunistic pathogenes in vitro and a protective effect in vivo. The strain is isolated from the feces of healthy poultry and can be used for the manufacture of bacterial preparations for the prevention of colibacillosis and other bacterial infections of farm animals.

EFFECT: obtaining a strain with a more pronounced and expanded spectrum of antagonistic activity, a higher level of colonization ability, belonging to the group of enterotoxigenic Escherichia (ETEC), but not producing enterotoxins, which creates the prerequisites for creating a drug effective for the prevention and treatment of colibacillosis and other diseases of farm animals and poultry.
