FIELD: window structures.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for ventilation of premises in building structures with casement windows or with solid glass facades of buildings equipped with transoms. The technical result of the invention consists in reducing the dimensions of the transom position control mechanism and making its location on the side surface of the glass unit more convenient to use, as well as in increasing the light transmission of the window. The technical result is achieved in that a French casement window with a transom contains a double-glazed window, a transom and a mechanism for controlling the position of the transom with a drive, while the double-glazed window and the transom are enclosed in frames made with stiffening elements in the form of corner plates, the ends of which are located on adjacent sides of the frames of the double-glazed window and transoms, form loops, the axis of which is connected to the mechanism for controlling the position of the transom, installed on the frame of the double-glazed window, while the drive of the mechanism for controlling the position of the transom is made in the form of two cords, pulleys are installed on the side of the frame of the double-glazed window, made with the ability to interact with the corresponding rods, the mechanism for controlling the position of the transom consists of a rocker arm, pivotally connected to the first end of the rod, the second end of which is pivotally connected to the first end of the rocker, and the second end of the rocker is fixed to the hinge axis, while the ends of the rods are connected to the rocker arm.
EFFECT: reducing the dimensions of the transom position control mechanism and making its location on the side surface of the glass unit more convenient to use, as well as in increasing the light transmission of the window.
