SUBSTANCE: device comprises a first cartridge configured to accommodate the first material and containing a delivery orifice configured to deliver aerosol generated from the first material, the second cartridge containing several cells for accommodating the second material through which the aerosol from the first cartridge is passed and released out. The position of the first cartridge relative to the second cartridge is variable so that at least one of the plurality of cells is aligned with the delivery orifice. The drive device is configured to change the position of the first cartridge relative to the second cartridge by moving the first cartridge and/or the second cartridge. The controller is configured to change the position of the first cartridge relative to the second cartridge to cause the aerosol to pass through at least one of the plurality of cells by actuating the drive device when a predetermined condition is met.
