SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a railway vehicle with thermal insulation. The thermally insulated railway vehicle includes a frame (50) and a side wall attached to it. The side wall comprises an interior side wall portion, a side wall steel structure with an outer wall panel (15), a vertical beam (13) located on the surface of the exterior wall panel (15) opposite the side wall interior portion, and a layer of polyurethane foam foamed between the side wall steel structure wall and the inside of the side wall. The frame (50) is integrally foamed and provided with a base (51) that reinforces the vertical beam (13) of the side wall. A welding window (14) is formed at the edge of the outer wall panel (15), which is adjacent to the frame (50), corresponding to the position of the end part of the vertical beam (13), the end part of which is fixed to the base (51) through the welding window (14). The method for assembling a railway vehicle with thermal insulation involves the integral formation of a frame (50) and a side wall with foaming and alignment of the position of the vertical beam (13) of the side wall relative to the position of the base (51) reinforcing the vertical beam on the frame and fixing the end part of the vertical beam on the base (51).
