A manufacturing method for making sealed, disposable food containers includes forming a three-dimensional container body having a peripheral top rim by stamping a two-dimensional blank on a press, wherein the two-dimensional blank includes a rim portion and a wall portion. Placing a closing lid on the body of a three-dimensional container. Sealing the closing lid with the rim of the container body. The method also includes a scoring step before forming the three-dimensional container body, in which scoring lines are formed in a peripheral zone of the two-dimensional blank, called a pre-scoring peripheral zone, by scoring, stamping or embossing the two-dimensional blank using a scoring mould or embossing die. Moreover, the pre-scored peripheral zone covers at least part of the rim section of the two-dimensional blank. The two-dimensional blank is made of a sheet of paper/polylactic acid (PLA) laminate material and is a disk. An object of the present invention is to provide a simpler and more economical manufacturing method for producing sealed, disposable food containers such as coffee capsules.

EFFECT: in particular, the aim of the invention is to eliminate the need to seal, even partially, the rim of the capsule.
