FIELD: forestry.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to methods for forming carbon farms. A step-by-step regulation of the density and completeness of plantings of pine forest stands is carried out in each age period through thinning, allowing to achieve maximum carbon sequestration rates; the optimal structure of plantings is determined by the formula: Pr=0.8*P*(1.51-0.012*A+0.000073*A2)*(0.865+0.645*N-0.033*N2+0.43*A+0.071*A*N-(0.0044+0.0007*N+0.0002* N2)*A2), where: Pr – current increase in total productivity, m3 * ha-1 * year-1 ; P – relative completeness of the forest stand, in fractions of unity; N - number of trees on one hectare; A - age of the forest stand, years.
EFFECT: carbon sequestration capacity of plantings and, accordingly, their climate-regulating efficiency increases.
