FIELD: medicine; colorectal surgery; oncology.
SUBSTANCE: when performing robot-assisted anterior rectal resection, a manual single-row side-to-end sigmoid anastomosis is formed intracorporeally using two strands of V-loc suture material. Using the first thread, starting from the middle of the back wall, in a clockwise direction, a continuous seam is formed to the middle of the front wall. The second thread is used to form the second half of the seam counterclockwise; after joining, a tantalum clip is installed in the middle of the front wall between the two threads.
EFFECT: method is simple to perform, allows to form an anastomosis that meets the conditions of tightness, precision in the absence of the formation of “weak” points of the anastomosis, reduces the frequency of postoperative complications, reduces the time of hospital stay, the risk of mortality from postoperative complications, and improves the quality of life.
