FIELD: quantum technology.
SUBSTANCE: optical interface for an ion quantum register can be used to optically individually address qubits in an ion quantum register. The optical interface for an ion quantum register consists of a set of single-mode fiber optic cables placed on a substrate and a lens that focuses laser beams from the ends of the fiber optic cables onto ions, between a set of single-mode fiber optic cables, the number of which is equal to the number of ions in the quantum register, and the lens a set of microlenses is introduced.
EFFECT: reduction in the ion access aperture required to ensure high efficiency.
