SUBSTANCE: methods for producing cathode materials and lithium-ion battery cathodes based on them. The method for producing a cathode includes the synthesis of tungsten trioxide from a tungsten precursor, which is tungsten nanopowder, the synthesis of tungsten trioxide is carried out by dissolving tungsten nanopowder in a 60% solution of hydrogen peroxide to form a solution of peroxytungstic acid, removing excess hydrogen peroxide by immersing the resulting solution of a platinized catalyst platinum, prepare an electrolyte by adding a 30% isopropanol solution to a solution of peroxytungstic acid, add crystalline lithium chloride, doping is carried out by electrodeposition of lithium-doped tungsten trioxide, for which an electrochemical cell is assembled with a working electrode made of graphite foil, an indifferent auxiliary electrode and a reference electrode in the form silver wire and polarize the working electrode potentiostatically at a potential of minus 1,000 - minus 1,200 V while stirring the solution for 1-1.5 hours and drying the resulting cathode.
EFFECT: reduction in the duration of cathode manufacturing operations and an increase in the electrochemical activity of the cathode material, which provides a specific capacity of at least 200 mAh/g.
