FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrochemical power engineering and can be used in production of traction lithium-ion accumulators. Method of making a cathode consists in preparing a cathode paste by mixing a mixture of electroconductive carbon additives, cathode material and a polymer binder solution, subsequent application of the obtained cathode paste on the foil to obtain an electrode sheet and its subsequent drying and compaction, wherein the cathode material is lithium-iron phosphate, the electroconductive carbon additive is Super P carbon black, and the polymer binder solution is a solution α-polyvinylidene difluoride in N-methylpyrrolidone with the following ratio of components, wt.%: lithium-iron phosphate – 93-96; α-polyvinylidene difluoride – 3-4; Super P – 1-3.
EFFECT: providing specific capacity of the cathode of traction lithium-ion batteries in conditions of their mass production of at least 160 mAh/g, which provides long duration of discharge and, accordingly, high specific energy of the battery due to control of surface specific electrical resistance of the positive electrode based on lithium-iron phosphate.
