FIELD: polymers.
SUBSTANCE: polymer materials that are resistant to ionizing radiation (charged high-energy particles). The composite material, based on polyethylene grade HPP 15303-003, is modified with ZrO2 nanoparticles as a filler, while the modification is carried out with ZrO2 nanoparticles obtained by plasma-chemical synthesis, with a size of 30 nm, a specific surface area of 25 m2/g, at a filler concentration of 2 wt.%.
EFFECT: creating a polymer nanocomposite material with high radiation-protective characteristics.
