METHOD OF REINFORCING INTERINTESTINAL INSTRUMENTAL ANASTOMOSIS BY SUTURING SECTION OF STAPLER LINE WITH COMBINATION OF NODES Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC A61B17/115 A61B17/00

Abstract RU 2816015 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to colorectal surgery, oncology. Stylet of the stapling apparatus is delivered within lateral 2/3 stapling line of the rectal stump. After formation of the interintestinal anastomosis, combination of 2 reinforcing serous-muscular sutures is applied in the area of the cone-shaped intestinal stapling line protruding along the lateral edge of the anastomosis. First reinforcing suture is pricked in on anterior surface 3–4 mm distal from the suture line at the base of the eye, and pricked out on the posterior surface in the distal direction from the anastomosis line at distance of 7–8 mm. Second needle is pricked in by the same suture on the posterior surface in the proximal direction from the anastomosis line at 7–8 mm from the stapling line, and the needle is pricked out along the anterior surface of the proximal part of anastomosis at 3–4 mm from the stapling line. Sutures are tightened and fixed with surgical knots after preliminary immersion. Second reinforcing suture is applied along the anterior surface more medial to the first one at 5 mm, connecting the proximal and distal ends of the intestine.

EFFECT: method enables to increase the reliability of the stapling line in the area of the weakest section of the anastomosis under certain conditions of its formation, allows reducing risks of intestinal anastomosis inconsistency performed with application of circular suturing apparatuses, increases reliability of instrumental colorectal anastomosis application and can be used in both open and laparoscopic interventions.
