METHOD OF CHOOSING TACTICS FOR CORRECTING ACUTE RESPIRATORY FAILURE IN PATIENTS WITH COVID-19 Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC A61B5/08 A61B5/145

Abstract RU 2807934 C1

FIELD: medicine; pulmonology; anesthesiology; resuscitation.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to select tactics for correcting acute respiratory failure (ARF) in patients with COVID-19 with spontaneous breathing. The ratio of the transcutaneous saturation value (SpO2) to the respiratory rate (RR) is calculated and the spontaneous respiration efficiency index (SRI) is obtained. If the SRI value is less than 2.5, the patient is transferred to invasive artificial ventilation, with the SRI value from 2.5 to 3.5, non-invasive artificial ventilation is performed, with the SRI value from 3.5 to 5.2, oxygen therapy is performed, with the SRI value from 5.2 observational tactics is chosen.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to increase the effectiveness of treatment by choosing the optimal tactics for correcting ARF and reducing the time for making a decision on the method of correcting ARF by assessing a set of easily accessible indicators of RR and SpO2.
