The audio signal is processed using information elements of signal marks. The audio signal comprises first and second audio channels for a spatially extended audio source, or the audio signal comprises a first audio channel for a spatially extended audio source and a second audio channel is extracted from the first audio channel by a second channel processor. Correlation processing is performed for the first audio channel and the second audio channel.
EFFECT: increasing the efficiency of synthesizing a spatially extended sound source.
