SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for forming additional sections from polymers obtained as a result of curing synthetic resins, or thermoplastic materials with or without fillers, adjacent to the covering layers of slabs for use in decorative, protective, structural and other purposes, depending on the technical and technological requirements or artistic task. The technical result is the preservation of moisture resistance of the overlaid furniture or building board when connected to functional equipment. The technical result is achieved by the fact that a method is claimed for connecting furniture or building boards, overlaid with covering layers, with functional equipment, according to which the board material with a covering layer on at least one side is subjected to mechanical cutting treatment at the junction with the functional equipment. Namely at the junction with the functional equipment grooves are made that remove the base plate to the covering layer, and the resulting grooves are filled with moisture-resistant curing polymer material. After curing, the polymer material is shaped by mechanical processing to ensure tight contact with the functional equipment.
EFFECT: preservation of moisture resistance of the overlaid furniture or building board when connected to functional equipment.
