FIELD: furniture; finishing materials.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the furniture industry, in creation of building structures in rooms with normal and high levels of humidity, wall cladding. The method for manufacturing a moisture-resistant furniture or construction part contains the following steps: the first covering moisture-resistant layer is glued to the base blank, non-through grooves are made along the contour of the part by tool cutting, the base plate and the adhesive layer are removed, leaving the cover layer. The method also includes steps in which the grooves are made with an offset beyond the boundaries of the part required to be obtained, the resulting grooves are filled with a hardened moisture-resistant polymer material, after polymerization, the open side of the base with a hardened moisture-resistant polymer material is levelled by mechanical processing to a flat surface having the thickness equal to that of the required finished slab minus the thickness of the second cover layer with the adhesive layer. The method additionally comprises the steps at which, after levelling the open side of the base, the upper second moisture-resistant cover layer is glued to it, then the finished part is cut out of the workpiece, leaving areas of the cured polymer inside the part between the lower and upper cover layers.
EFFECT: increase in moisture resistance, the possibility of giving the end a shape other than a straight one, the possibility of making edge materials without joints.
