FIELD: soldering.

SUBSTANCE: non-destructive quality control of soldering. A tangential type eddy current converter with active shielding contains excitation coils and measurement coils. In this case, the coils are installed alternately and coaxially parallel to the plane of the solder joint, symmetrically relative to the handle with the upper and lower bars, a board is installed inside the handle, a lever with a clamp is installed on the end surface of the handle and connected to the upper bar through a hole, a movable support block is installed on the bottom bar. On the outer sides of the excitation coils and measuring coils, shielding coils are installed parallel to the solder joint plane, the excitation coils are connected in series with the shielding coil of the upper bar, the shielding coil and excitation coils of the lower bar are connected in series with them, the terminals of the first excitation coil of the upper bar and the last excitation coil of the lower bar are series connected to the outputs of the excitation signal amplifiers on the board, the inputs of which are connected to the outputs of the DAC on the board, the measuring coils of the upper and lower bars are connected in series, the terminals are connected to the inputs of the measuring signal amplifier on the board.

EFFECT: increased sensitivity to defects in lap solder joints.
