FIELD: road construction.
SUBSTANCE: auxiliary equipment for determining the characteristics of a road surface used to measure the length of the path traveled by the device wheel on hard surfaces. The essence of the claimed invention is as follows. A road curvometer contains a rotating wheel, a rod, a handle, and a support roller mounted on a plate that is rigidly attached to the rod mounting bracket. In this case, on one side of the wheel, a laser and an encoder are installed on the rod mounting bracket, connected through a shaft to the wheel axis; the rod mounting bracket is rigidly connected to the rod, which is equipped with a handle with a display and control buttons. At the same time, an electronic unit and batteries are located in the handle body; the electronic unit is equipped with software with the ability to configure and subsequently calibrate the curvometer, as well as for transmitting data to a smartphone in real time.
EFFECT: implementing the invention is to increase the measurement accuracy.
