FIELD: pharmaceuticals.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing a compound described by formula (1), where two R1 are the same and each represents a fluorine atom or a C1-3 perfluoroalkyl group. The method includes step A of reacting a compound represented by formula (2) with at least one compound (3) selected from the group consisting of a compound (3-1), wherein R31, R32 and R33 are the same or different and each represents either a hydrogen atom or a C1-3 alkyl group; and compounds (3-2), wherein R34, R35, R36 and R37 are the same or different and each represents either a hydrogen atom or a C1-5 alkyl group; or R34 and R35 are the same or different and each of them represents either a hydrogen atom or a C1-5 alkyl group, and R36 and R37 are linked to each other to form a tetrahydropyrimidine ring or an imidazolidine ring, in the presence of at least one a fluorine compound (4) selected from the group consisting of the following: a compound represented by the formula MHnFm (4-1), where M is an alkali metal atom, n is either 0 or 1, and the sum of the valences of M and n is m; a compound represented by the formula LR414F (4-2), where L represents a nitrogen atom or a phosphorus atom and R41 are the same or different and each represents a C1-5 alkyl group; and hydrofluoric acid or a salt thereof, and an organic solvent, provided that the compound represented by formulas (3-1) and (3-2) is excluded from the organic solvents where the reaction temperature in step A is in the range of -30 to 40°C. The invention also relates to methods of producing a fluorolactone of formula (5) and an intermediate compound of formula (7-1).
EFFECT: development of a method of producing fluorolactone of formula (5) at one stage, which is used as a raw material for the production of fluorine-containing resin.
